Do we need any art skills/experience?
Nope! This workshop is all about play and is for EVERYONE! You will be messing about with all sorts of very simple mixed-media techniques - all of which will be demonstrated to you. And I will be on hand to help if you need some encouragement.
Is there an age restriction?
Children must be aged 6 or older and be accompanied by an adult. The adult does not have to be a workshop attendee but should be on hand/near by. Please let me know the ages of your child attendees at booking.
Is my venue suitable?
Your venue is suitable if it has enough tables and chairs to seat all your attendees, plus a spare table where extra materials will be available.
I'll also need a little space where I can demonstrate techniques but I can always temporarily pinch someones seat to do this! We will work it out.
I will also need access to some water for water jars on tables and some light washing up at the end.
Can I host this in my home or garden?
Yes! As long as your home or garden meets the requirements -tables, chairs, access to water - and it's weather appropriate - I can make it work!
What if i don't have a venue?!
If you don't have a venue, I can help you find one, but the hire cost will be your responsibility. Let me know in the Enquiry Form above, or contact me here.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please be aware that there is a £100 non-refundable deposit once the date has been booked and secured.
If you need to cancel this must be done 7 days before the agreed workshop date. If you have paid in full, you will be refunded the fee minus the deposit.
Less than 7 days cancellation I can offer to reschedule your workshop, depending on availability. I'll do what ever I can to make it happen!
Can we choose the type of art we create?
The Happy Doodles workshop I currently offer allows for personal freedom, self expression and individuality. Every attendee will be able to choose their own colours and techniques, and will create something completely unique to them. But if you have any specific ideas you'd like to run by me, I am all ears! Can I choose the length of the workshop?
The Private Workshop package is 2 hours long plus 30 minutes each end for set up and pack down. If you'd like a custom length of time for your private workshop please let me know in the last section of the Enquiry form above, or contact me here and we can discuss options.
What do I need to provide?
The space and the people! Plus drinks, snacks and music if you'd like.
I provide all materials, table cloths and aprons.

What if someone in my group has special needs?
I am all about inclusion - my workshops are for everyone , and I will do my very best to accommodate everyone!

Can I book this for a kids-only party?
While I'm happy to offer mixed adult and kids sessions, I'm not currently offering a kids-only session - YET! It's going to take some slightly different planning which is on the to-do list. Why choose a workshop with me?
Well, I have an art degree, I've taught art in schools for yonks and I've been a practising artist and muralist for several years. But much more importantly, I am completely obsessed with colour, joy, and helping people feel fab by discovering their creative spark!
