HAPPY DOODLES MIXED-MEDIA ART WORKSHOP - Bristol

£25.00
| /

Come and join me for a relaxed, fun, creative workshop in Bristol.

‘Happy Doodling’ – my very own special version of doodling – is an intuitively free way of making art, and one I’ve turned to many times when I’ve felt stuck or stressed. Doodling is well-known for its positive effects on our mental health, and this uplifting yet soulful workshop will help you reconnect with your creativity, calm your nervous system, reclaim your scattered attention, spark new ideas, and generally give you a boost!

You’ll be guided to play, explore, and create in a warm, welcoming space. Absolutely no art experience needed — this is for everyone, and it’s much more about expression than perfection. You will, however, leave with a beautiful piece of art that truly came from you.

What You'll Get/What To Expect:

  • 2 hours of creative play
  • All materials and equipment provided
  • A demo of my mixed-media techniques
  • Tea, coffee and snacks
  • A wicked playlist
  • Some chats and laughs!

Optional Frame Add-On:  I'll have a small batch of perfectly sized, black or white frames, with mounts available to buy on the day for £15 -  no need to decide now and totally optional, but drop me a message here if you'd like one reserved.

FAQ

Do I need any art skills/experience?

Nope! This workshop is all about play and is for EVERYONE! You will be messing about with all sorts of very simple mixed-media techniques - all of which will be demonstrated to you. And I will be on hand to help if you need some encouragement.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

No. All the materials will be provided. Just bring your curiosity. It's not a particularly messy workshop (small amount of painting but mostly pen and stamp work) but don't wear your best clothes if you're worried!

What's the food/drink situation?

You can bring whatever food/drink you like with you and most venues I can supply tea and coffee (just a kettle coffee i'm afraid)

Some venues have cafe facilities:

Hamilton House has the Canteen Bar and a cafe downstairs and you are more than welcome to bring up a proper coffee, beer, cocktail, whatever you fancy!

Is there any parking?

Parking will vary for each venue:

Hamilton House has road parking in and around the area. You may also have to pay the CAZ charge depending where you are coming from.

Can I get a refund?

If you can no longer come to the workshop and would like a refund, please give me 5 days notice so that I can fill the spot. After the 5 days i'll be happy for you to transfer your ticket, either to a friend or to a new workshop date. Please get in touch with me as soon as possible on my contact page so we can work it out.

Is there an age restriction?

This workshop has been put together with adults in mind but i'm happy for older teenagers to come along with you too. Just let me know via my Contact Page

How accessible is the workshop space?

This varies from venue to venue and i'd advise you to contact the venue yourself if you have any specific questions or requirements. I can give a brief overview below:

Hamilton House: On the second floor accessible by lift or stairs.
